Looking into installing LED lights in the Greenfire house, more of the same on campus. Also, a windmill at Bjork- yes please.

Harmony Oct. 27 Match Lawrence University Groups to their community equivalents. A way of bridging the gap between campus and community. Set up like speed dating. Time to meet your match ;)

They need to know by next week how many reps are there.

Let’s have a fall day – pumpkin carving, leaf pile jumping, sweater wearing, hot cider drinking! How about the 16th at 2:00pm? Sounds good. At the Greenfire backyard.

If you want to make a team for the Fox Valley Spelling Bee with Marika, e-mail her @ marika.c.straw@lawrence.edu

Meeting Updates and the CPC

-Greenfire has created 3 main goals/groups for this term: the Clean Plate Challenge, Little Something Greens, and Recycling

1. CPC is THIS WEEK. Scraping in front of the dish area during the entire dinner shift Mon-Sunday. Tabling on Mon and Tue. See the last email for shifts or to sign up. The dining hall wants to weigh waste 1 day of the week for the rest of the year to moniter food waste. (AKA to see it decrease!)

2. Little Something Greens: Many new ones are made and laminated. Stop by the living room and pick some up to post around campus. We are always making more!

3. Recycle News: LU is single stream. Work on signs for above all recycling bins on campus (ie. do's and don't's). Continue to recycle CFLs, ink cartridges, batteries, chargers, used electronics, etc. and the Funding Factory. Recycle MANIA is Jan 17th to March 27th.

-Each meeting will have a fun activity or goal for members

-Students can create green articles and short educational movies on how to be a Green Lawrentian.

-Environmental movies on Wed nights in Feb. (in Appleton Post!!)

-MOSES Conference- Feb 25-27

-Campus center-A big THANK YOU to the campus center/Grill/Cafe/etc! We should do something! Remember to BYOMug and new non-disposable dishes are in). Get morerecycling bins in the building.

-LU students get a 10% discount at Just Act Natural Store.....Stop in!

-Feel free too bring interesting news or updates to meetings!

-Stop by the house to pick up POSTERS and LSGs to hang around campus!!

-Meeting: Thursday night at 9:00pm in the Sabin/Greenfire house.
